Oscar-winner Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Crimson Peak, Pan’s Labyrinth) is bringing a new horror anthology series called Cabinet of Curiosities to Netflix — and the first-look trailer teases monsters, practical effects, and more!

Del Toro created, executive produced, and hosts the eight-episode series, the first two episodes of which will premiere on the 25th of October as part of the streaming platform’s Netflix and Chills Halloween event. Another two episodes will then drop daily through October 28th.

According to Netflix, “From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, the eight sinister tales — including two original works by del Toro — will be brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by the Shape of Water filmmaker.” Read on for a breakdown of each episode’s cast and crew, then check out the trailer below!
