First Images From Sergio Morcillo’s “You’re Gonna Die Tonight”

You're Gunna Die Tonight PosterRecently SCREAM posted the teaser trailer for Sergio Morcillo’s (“Metamorphose”) upcoming short film “You’re Gonna Die Tonight” which looks all set to be a bloody, bold and entertaining little flick, brimming with intensity and genuine shocks. Well the first exclusive images have now been unleashed.

Written by Alvaro Fuentes, inspired by an original concept from the tormented minds of Morcillo and Ismael de las Heras, “You’re Gonna Die Tonight” is presented by none other than Miguel Ángel Vivas, who most recently directed Matthew Fox and Jeffrey Donovan in the icy cold zombie feature, Extinction. Other than Vivas’ involvement, audiences are in for a bloody treat as the effects team behind [REC], Inside FX, are on board and ready to spatter the set red.

Commenting on the short, Marcillo said, “You’re Gonna Die Tonight” is a real roller coaster of emotions […] A love letter to ’80s slasher and generally those B series productions that plagued the video stores. It has a remote history of conventional slasher to recreate a mature, complex and shocking conflict.”

Released under the Terror Club and Fonofox banners, the film boasts a stellar Spanish cast, including Mónica Aragón, Antonio Zancada, and Rafa Casette with the film shot entirely in English.

At the time of writing, the short has screened at Madrid’s CortomaÑia short film festival but is expected to be seen cropping up on the international circuit any time soon. In the meantime, we’ll leave you with the teaser trailer and first images.

Synopsis:
A woman enjoys the pleasure of a hot bath while enjoying her own body. A call from a stranger interrupts the peace. The worst night of her life has begun with just a few simple words; “You’re gonna die tonight.”
