We’re very close to the sixth Insidious instalment haunting theatres, and Sony desperately want us to know that all bets are off this time around.
In a chilling final trailer, we get a further look at what the movie has in store for us.
As we know, lead character Gemma can enter The Further, unknowingly bringing demons to the living world. However, the trailer drops one more horrifying fact… They can’t leave.
So, every time she goes to sleep, a new demonic spirit hitches a ride out of The Further with Gemma, never to return.
What unfolds is the terrifying notion that the dead will band together to banish the living to The Further forever… Can one woman stop an army of demonic entities before it’s too late?
As the trailer promises, this concept tips the entire Insidious franchise on its head. The spirits are very much “out of the further…” But is it forever?
The movie stars Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea, Island Austin, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Franchise star Lin Shaye is also set to reprise her iconic role of Elise Renier in Out of the Further.
Come Play filmmaker Jacob Chase writes and directs, whilst James Wan, Jason Blum, and Oren Peli produce via Blumhouse-Atomic Monster.
Insidious: Out of the Further will hit screens on August 21st via Sony Pictures Releasing, with tickets on-sale now.
