The zombie period drama mash-up Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has a new trailer and, this time, it focuses on the romance. The previous trailer gave us a taste of the action, but this one shows us its loving side. However, there’s still plenty of undead ass-kicking and those gender stereotypes remain to be knocked out of the park, which is promising.
Mr Darcy prefers to focus on finding The One, rather than the zombie apocalypse but, Elizabeth Bennett does not fancy relinquishing her sword for a man and is focused on training for battle. Cue a lot of bloody fun fighting. The film has been rated as a PG-13, so don’t expect it to be anything too gory – sadly – but, hopefully it will offer enough cheesy horror action to keep us entertained.
Synopsis:
Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England is faced with a new challenge – an army of undead zombies.
Check out the trailer below and, also, a new poster that sees the zombie slayers unite to defeat the undead hoard once and for all.
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is directed by Burr Steers and heads to cinemas in the USA on 5th February and in the UK on 12th February 2016.
