Fede Alvarez exploded on to our screens in 2013 with the brutal, bloody and bold Evil Dead remake and last year he crafted one of the most surprising and intense thrillers with Don’t Breathe. It’s safe to say that he is one of the most solidly impressive horror directors of the moment, so any move he makes is watched with eager eyes.
He is currently working on The Girl in the Spider’s Web and Don’t Breathe 2, but he is also showing a keenness to allow fellow filmmakers to breakout into the film industry. By teaming up with Good Universe, Alvarez has created a new production company called Bad Hombres that aims to promote new film-makers in the horror, thriller and sci-fi universe.
Alvarez said:
“These are great times for original ideas and quality storytelling in the genre arena. That’s why I couldn’t be more excited about Bad Hombre and the prospect of supporting fresh and exciting voices in genre filmmaking”.
We’re always excited to see emerging directors and creators in the world of horror, so Bad Hombres is definitely something we are going to be keeping an eye on.
Does anyone remember Donald Trump saying “Bad hombres” recently?…
