Eli Roth is no stranger to shocking cinema and this clip shows that he has not lost his ability to traumatise his audience. I love gory horror films, but when eyes are involved in the torture I can’t help but look away. Take a look at the red-band clip below, and see Eli Roth return to his eye-torture roots.
Synopsis:
One young girl and her friends are convinced they can make a different to the problems in the Amazon by travelling there to try and save the rainforest. Unfortunately for the group, it’s not only animals that roam the dangerous territory; there are also tribes that have the taste for the flesh of humans.
It’s always a shame when you try to do something good and it completely backfires. It seems The Green Inferno wants to warn us of the dangers of being nice, philanthropy and venturing in to unknown territories. You never know when you’re going to bump in to a tribe of manic cannibals, so it’s best just to stay at home.
The Green Inferno will be unleashed in US cinemas next week, on 25th September 2015. Confirm a UK release date, already!
