FANT has now revealed the star-studded list of Official Selection Jury Members for this, the 22nd Annual Bilbao Fantasy Film Festival.
This year’s trio consists of actor Laurence R. Harvey, actress Fiona O’Shaughnessy, and journalist and Canal+ chief programmer José María Clemente.
Fiona O’Shaughnessy began her career at The Gate Theatre, Dublin, back in 2000, where she played the lead in Oscar Wilde’s ‘Salomé.’ She is most renowned for her role as Jessica Hyde in Channel 4’s critically acclaimed, ‘Utopia’ and has enjoyed a career across film, television and theatre. Her most recent feature, the Blaine Brothers’ British horror comedy, Nina Forever (SCREAM review here), sees Fiona playing the titular role. She is currently shooting ‘My Mother and Other Strangers’ for the BBC and can be seen in ‘Musketeers’ later this year. Nina Forever will be screened as part of the #FANT22 line-up. You can read a recent interview we conducted with O’Shaughnessy right here.
José María Clemente, a journalist specialising in cinema, has been the film entertainment programming manager for CANAL+ for the past 11 years. He has also written for a number of documentary series and cinema-centric programmes for CANAL+ and has collaborated with the likes of Vanity Fair and GQ.
Finally we have Laurence R. Harvey who pretty much every SCREAM reader will know best from Tom Six’s The Human Centipede 2 (2011), playing Martin Lomax, an obese, asthmatic and mentally challenged security guard who is frighteningly obsessed with the original film. Harvey’s latest appearance sees him alongside genre favourite Tristan Risk in the James Bickert-directed Frankenstein Created Bikers, which screened at the Atlanta film Festival on the 2nd of April this year.
