A Monster Calls is a superb, heart-breaking and exciting adventure from director Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage) and we have a beautiful trailer for you to feast your eyes. It showcases the film’s gorgeous blend of live-action and water colour-animation, which looks absolutely wonderful.
Synopsis:
12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith.
We recently caught A Monster Calls at London Film Festival and thought it was quite amazing, you can check out our review here. It’s a must-see for those who enjoy their stories with a strong beating heart and monstrous visuals; think The Iron Giant and The Neverending Story and you’ll be on the right page.
A Monster Calls additionally stars Liam Neeson and Sigourney Weaver and will be released in the UK and USA on 6th January 2017.
