Face Your Fears in this Clip from Rupture

Posted on: April 27th, 2017

In a new clip from the sci-fi horror Rupture, we witness a man getting a similar treatment to Alex in A Clockwork Orange as he is forced to watch something he can’t bear. Noomi Rapace’s Renee watches from a crawlspace in the ceiling, eager to discover why she and these other people have been abducted.

Synopsis:
Renee Morgan, a single mum who lives with her twelve-year-old son Evan in a quiet suburban home, is terrified of spiders. Unbeknownst to both, their every move is being observed. While running her daily errands her car breaks down and she is violently kidnapped by a group of strangers. About 24 hours later, in an anonymous laboratory, she is tied up and questioned about her medical history, including her great fear of spiders. Soon her captors explain to her that her genetic abnormality can potentially allow her to Rupture, revealing her own true alien nature.

Rupture is a very interesting, but eventually too silly sci-fi that is beautifully shot and extremely intriguing. For every positive there’s a negative, so it’s very easy to describe it as an audience divider. You can check out our full review of Rupture right here. You can also read our interview with the film’s director Steven Shainberg here. He talks the original idea for the film and the underlying theme of motherhood that is prevalent throughout.

We encourage you to make up your own mind and head to see Rupture in the USA on 28th April 2017. Rupture is out now on DVD in the UK.
