Whilst Jeremy Wooding is particularly renowned for his comedy roots the Peep Show director’s latest directorial feature, Blood Moon fuses the horror and western genres to provide a tense and claustrophobic riff on werewolf lore.
Starring George Blagden (After the Dark), Ian Whyte (Prometheus), Anna Skellern (The Descent: Part Two) and Shaun Dooley (Eden Lake), Blood Moon depicts the werewolf as the Native Americans’ legendary skinwalker with a stagecoach of passengers, gunslingers and outlaws pitted against the beast, hungry for human flesh.
Old school horror fans are in for a real treat as the film promises plenty of prosthetic effects, harking back to cult classics such as An American Werewolf in London and The Howling.
Blood Moon is all set to provide some howling good fun when it releases on DVD from Monday the 5th of October, 2015. In the run up to said home release date the film will also screen at the following select UK cinemas from Monday the 28th of September with further screenings still to be announced:
28.09.15 London, The Genesis Cinema (coincides with the real astronomical blood moon!)
02.10.15 Northampton, Errol Flynn Cinema
04.10.15 Wareham, Dorset, The Rex Cinema
23.10.15 Monmouth, Wales The Savoy Cinema
