Alex Garland, writer and director of Ex Machina and Annihilation, is working on a new low-budget horror movie set in the UK, Empire reports.
The director, whose other credits include writing the screenplays for Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later and Sunshine, told Empire that, “I don’t know if it’s unrealistic or not. Always at this particular moment, a film always feels unrealistic, but then somehow it works out.”
Casting and financing are currently underway on the film, which has not yet been named. The plan is to start shooting in the spring or summer of 2021.
