“EVIL DEAD BURN” TO HEAD HOME AFTER DISAPPOINTING BOX-OFFICE

Posted on: August 3rd, 2026

It’s been less than a month since Evil Dead Burn hit screens.

Unfortunately, despite a positive critical reception, audiences didn’t turn out in the droves the studio had hoped for.

On a budget of $20 million, Evil Dead Burn has only brought in $60 million at the worldwide box-office. Whilst that likely spells a small profit for Warner Bros., it’s a far cry from Evil Dead Rise’s $143 million.

So, less than four weeks after the July 6th release, Evil Dead Burn is coming home.

It has been confirmed that the movie will hit PVOD platforms on August 4th 2026.

Furthermore, Evil Dead Burn has also been confirmed to debut on physical media.

September 22nd will see the film land on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD discs. The physical media release will also be packed with extra features, including a series of featurettes detailing the production of the movie.

So, whilst Evil Dead Burn hasn’t lit up the box-office as many had hoped, it’s entirely possible the movie will earn a pretty penny when it comes home.

Of course, Evil Dead Burn isn’t the end of the run for the franchise, with a further sequel, Evil Dead Wrath, set to release in 2028.

However, will the commercial underperformance of Burn effect future releases? If this comes to pass, we’ll be here to let you know.
