Not too long ago, we learned that Evil Dead Burn would hit screens on July 24th 2026.
Aside from the announcement that Dune: Part 2 actress Souheila Yacoub would star in the project, we knew precious little about the sixth Evil Dead instalment.
Until now…
Now, word reaches us the cast for Evil Dead Burn has expanded considerably. Wednesday star Hunter Doohan is reportedly aboard the project in a “significant” role. Joining Doohan are Luciane Buchanan of The Night Agent, and Tandi Wright, last seen in Ti West’s Pearl.
Although the cast is coming together, plot details for Evil Dead Burn remain a closely guarded secret. However, upon securing the project, writer-director Sébastien Vaniček stated the following of his hopes for the film:
“I told the studio that I wanted to make a nasty film, a film that hurts, from which you come away tested. I’m going to put all the horror I have inside, it will be cathartic, and if I haven’t ruined my career and I can continue to make films behind it, I will move on to something other than horror!”
Evil Dead Burn will be produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, as they make good on their promise to turn their franchise into a springboard for up-and-coming filmmakers. Evil Dead series star Bruce Campbell is also aboard as an executive producer, as is Evil Dead Rise creator Lee Cronin.
So, things appear to be shaping up nicely for Evil Dead Burn.
We’ll let you know as soon as we have an update on the all-important plot details!
