Emily Mortimer (Shutter Island, The Sense of an Ending) has joined the cast of Mary, a supernatural thriller from Michael Goi. The cast additionally features Gary Oldman and It’s Owen Teague. The Shallows’ scribe Anthony Jaswinski is writing the script.
Mary follows a family that buy an old ship with the hopes of starting a new business, but soon discover that the ship has a ghostly past that threatens their hopes for success.
In our opinion, there are not enough films set around ghost ships. What was the last really great film of this type? Ghost Ship from 2002? Maybe we’re in for a ghost ship revival.
Mary is set to go into production ASAP, so keep your eyes peeled for a first-look at imagery from the film and, hopefully, a release date soon.
