Emily Blunt silences the competition – excuse the pun – by snapping up the SAG Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her part in A Quiet Place. The actress’ acceptance speech brought her husband and director of A Quiet Place, John Krasinski, to tears.
Blunt’s win was no easy one, because she beat Amy Adams, Margot Robbie, Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz to nab the award. It’s a shame that she won’t be able to continue the celebrations into the Oscars next month *cough*.
A Quiet Place made a killing at the box office, so it was unsurprising to learn that Paramount intends to make a sequel. Announced in April last year, the news has been sparse and it has not been confirmed what route or direction the follow-up would take. With such a brilliant film to start with, we’re expecting big things from its sequel, but only time will tell.
