Fans have longed for Eli Roth to turn his Grindhouse trailer into a feature for the better part of 15 years… and now it seems the project is unstoppable.
In quick succession Roth announced the project, then it was acquired by Spyglass Media Group and Tri-Star Pictures announced their intent to distribute the picture theatrically.
Over the next two weeks a cast was confirmed, including Addison Rae, Gina Gershon and Patrick Dempsey, with the news that filming had already begun.
Now it seems the team have no intention of slowing this rapid pace, as Roth announced the film will release this fall, just in time for the titular holiday.
Looking to carve up screens on November 17th 2023, Roth’s slasher enters theatres just six days before the Thanksgiving break. No doubt Spyglass have high hopes for another slasher, given their recent success with the Scream franchise.
So, will Thanksgiving cut up the box-office? Or will it be the worst kind of turkey? Only time will tell and we’ll definitely bring you the results.
