From French filmmaker Lucile Hadzihalilovic (Evolution), making her English-language debut, Earwig is coming to cinemas in the UK and Ireland on June 10th—and the trailer has an interesting bite to it.
Earwig is based on the novel by Brian Catlin and is set “Somewhere in Europe, mid-20th century. Albert is employed to look after 10-year-old Mia. His most important task is to see to her ice dentures, which must be changed several times a day. Every week, the telephone rings and The Master questions Albert about the girl’s wellbeing; every week he gives the same answers. Until one day The Master tells him that he must prepare the girl to leave…”
Paul Hilton, Alex Lawther, Romane Hemelaers, and Romola Garai star in Earwig. Open wide and check out the trailer below.
