I will always love the thrill of seeing a film in the cinema, but if it’s not possible then Netflix will have to do. Despite directing the lacklustre Warcraft: The Beginning, Jones is still a brilliant film-maker with Source Code and 2009’s brilliant Moon to his name. Mute looks to be right up the street of those that enjoy intelligent and visually-stunning sci-fi features, so will hopefully be a huge improvement on Jones’ last feature.
Mute follows a mute bartender who must battle his city’s gangsters in the hope of finding out what happened to his missing partner. Alexander Skarsgard is in the lead role and he is joined by Paul Rudd, Justin Theroux, Seyneb Saleh and Gilbert Owuor.
Be sure to head to Netflix on 23rd January to see Mute in all its sure-to-be glory.
