Young people are still refusing to learn not to make pacts with the devil in this trailer for Satanic, which follows a group who decide to visit old Satanic Panic-era sites in Los Angeles. There is a level of self-awareness in the trailer that is actually quite refreshing, but before long, the trailer falls into far too familiar territory. Ouija boards, dead birds and pentagrams all make an appearance as events start to spiral downward. We wonder how many will make it out alive and what other clichéd delights Satanic has in-store for us.
Satanic comes from director Jeffrey G. Hunt who has directed episodes of Scorpion, Gotham, The Originals and Sleepy Hollow. Satanic will mark his feature film debut and it stars Sarah Hyland, Marc Barnes, Clara Mamet, Steven Krueger and Justin Chon. The script has been written by Anthony Jaswinski (Vanishing on 7th Street, The Shallows).
Satanic will be released on 1st July 2016 in the USA.
