The USA is finally getting its mitts on Eli Roth’s Clown and, boy, are you guys in for a treat. Clown is a terrifying transformation horror about a man who dresses up in a clown suit and when he can’t take it off, he realises that it’s not a suit at all. Turning him into a murdering maniac, he and his wife must race against time to discover how to put an end to the evil curse.
It may have Eli Roth’s name stamped on it, but Jon Watts is the director behind this scary story. Clown is brilliant and tense, appropriately getting under your skin and staying there long after the credits role. If you’re afraid of clowns and are dying to face your phobia, then this may be a good place to start…. Or maybe not.
