A few months ago, we learned that director Ben Wheatley (A Field in England, High-Rise, Kill List) had created a micro-budget horror movie during lockdown—and the first image (above) and details have now been revealed!
Called In the Earth, the film is set in a world searching for a cure to a disastrous virus. A routine equipment run sees a scientist and park scout venturing deep in the forest—but their journey becomes a terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness as the forest comes to life around them through the night…
In the Earth’s cast includes Ellora Torchia (Midsommar), Joel Fry (Game of Thrones), Hayley Squires (In Fabric), and Reece Shearsmith (Inside No. 9). NEON will release the film in the U.S. sometime in 2021.
