Tommy Wirkola, the Norwegian filmmaker behind the Dead Snow franchise, is back with a new holiday horror film called Violent Night. We previously heard that Stranger Things’ David Harbour was set to star, and we’ve got new casting news to share with you today.
Joining Harbour for Violent Night are Edi Patterson (Knives Out), Cam Gigandet (The Unborn), John Leguizamo (Spawn), Beverly D’Angelo (The Sentinel), Alex Haskell (The Tragedy of Macbeth), and Alexis Louder (Watchmen). The film follows a team of elite mercenaries who break into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage. But the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (Harbour) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.
Pat Casey and Josh Miller wrote Violent Night, which is slated to hit theatres on December 2nd, 2022.
