She’s just come off a scene-stealing supporting role in the Faces of Death reboot, and now singer Charli XCX is gearing up for a new album.
Why are we reporting this, you may ask?
Well, after the singer recently released the track list for her upcoming album, horror fans were puzzled yet intrigued to see a track featuring David Cronenberg.
Yes, you read that correctly!
According to the album track list, the legendary Canadian filmmaker will lend his vocals to the final track on the album, entitled No One Lasts Forever.
It’s unclear if Cronenberg will demonstrate his singing abilities on the track, or if he contributes spoken word vocals. If we had to guess, we’d say it’s the latter possibility.
Given that Charli XCX has been open about her love of the horror genre, it’s understandable why such a feature would appeal to her.
However, David Cronenberg featuring on a pop album was not on our 2026 bingo card!
Charli’s new album is entitled Music, Fashion, Film and is available for pre-order now. The record is set to release on July 24 2026.
