Dare You Open It? A New Poster for Wish Upon

Posted on: May 24th, 2017

John R. Leonetti’s next horror endeavour is fast approaching its release date and we’re not to forget it. To entice us to watch the film’s magically scary events, we’ve been treated to a brand new poster. The poster shows Wish Upon’s Clare (Joey King – The Conjuring) looking rather ashamed of her decision to open the box that promises to grant her a series of wishes.

We recently showed you the latest trailer for Wish Upon and that, too, teased the regret that Clare would be feeling. Sure, you can have love, popularity and cash, but they will come at a price. What would you do if you were promised everything you could ever dream of, only limited by your own imagination?

Synopsis:
Twelve years after discovering her mother’s suicide, 17-year-old Clare Shannon is bullied in high school, embarrassed by her manic, hoarder father, Jonathan (Ryan Phillippe), and ignored by her long-time crush. All that changes when her father comes home with an old music box whose inscription promises to grant its owner seven wishes.

While Clare is initially sceptical of this magic box, she can’t help but be seduced by its dark powers and is thrilled as her life radically improves with each wish. Clare finally has the life she’s always wanted, and everything seems perfect – until the people closest to her begin dying in violent and elaborate ways after each wish. Clare realises that she must get rid of the box but finds herself unable and unwilling to part with her new and improved life – leading her down a dark and dangerous path.

Wish Upon will be released on 14th July in the USA and 20th July 2017.
