The CW is adding to its roster of horror series’, by hiring Shawn Levy to develop a haunted house drama series called Epiphany. The series is being described as “Stanley Kubrick meets Agatha Christie”, so we’re excited to see a blend of horror and mystery.
Levy is the executive producer of Stranger Things, Imaginary Mary and Last Man Standing, so he has a variety of different shows to his name already. He was also a producer on the acclaimed sci-fi Arrival, as well as The Spectacular Now and Real Steel.
A psychological thriller about a group of gifted strangers recruited to a Gilded Age mansion to solve a complex code that lies within the structure’s walls.
The script for Epiphany will be written by Spenser Cohen and Lee Toland Krieger will direct the pilot episode. He is also attached to The CW’s Sabrina: The Teenage Witch series and has directed episodes of Riverdale.
