After debuting on Shudder in 2020, Jay Cheel’s docu-series Cursed Films became the second most-watched series premiere in the streaming platform’s history. With such a strong debut, it’s no surprise that Shudder has officially confirmed there will be a second season.
Cheel will return to write, direct, and edit the new season, and will also executive produce alongside Jonas Prupas, Courtney Dobbins, and Brian Robertson. The films that the season will be exploring have yet to be announced.
Cursed Films explores allegedly cursed horror movies through conversations with cast and crew members, writers, scholars, and experts. Season One dedicated episodes to The Omen, Poltergeist, The Exorcist, The Crow, and Twilight Zone: The Movie.
