Tis the season for death, apparently! James Ward Byrkit, the director of 2013’s impressive and unique sci-fi feature Coherence, is working on Do They Know It’s Murder?. The film’s concept is just as unique as Coherence’s and is set during the recording of the song Do They Know It’s Christmas? in 1984. The film sees Bob Geldof discovering a dead body and being forced to figure out the killer, but without ruining the song.
It sounds freaking amazing. And insane. Mostly insane.
Who will they cast in the role of Bob Geldof and co.? The cast will, assumedly, have to play the roles of Geldof’s co-stars Bananarama, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Sting, Paul Weller, Boy George and more. Do let us know your suggestions for the roles.
It’s been 4 years since the release of Coherence and we’ve been anticipating what Byrkit would do next ever since, but we could never have guessed this. Keep your eyes peeled for more!
