The trailer for Universal’s Cocaine Bear has arrived in a cloud of white powder and red arterial spray, and it’s just as crazy as the film’s title suggests!
Inspired by true events that took place in the 1980s, Cocaine Bear finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists, and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood.
Elizabeth Banks (Charlie’s Angels) directed the film, which stars Keri Russell (Antlers), O’Shea Jackson, Jr. (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family), Brooklynn Prince (The Florida Project), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (BlacKkKlansman), Kristofer Hivju (The Thing), Hannah Hoekstra (Charlie’s Angels), Aaron Holliday (Sharp Objects), Margo Martindale (The Americans), and the late Ray Liotta (Hannibal). The script was written by Jimmy Warden (The Babysitter: Killer Queen).
Cocaine Bear is produced by Banks, Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Brian Duffield, Aditya Sood, and Max Handelman. Robin Fisichella serves as an executive producer.
