Lizzy Caplan (Castle Rock, Cloverfield) and Antony Starr (The Boys, American Gothic) are set to star in Cobweb, a new horror film from director Samuel Bodin (creator of Netflix’s Marianne).
Written by Chris Thomas Devlin, Cobweb will centre around a seemingly ordinary house in a small town. Peter, a timid young boy, hears a mysterious tapping from inside the house’s walls—and suspects his parents are hiding a terrible secret…
Caplan and Starr will play Carol and Mark, Peter’s parents. The cast also includes Woody Norman (The War of the Worlds) as Peter and Cleopatra Coleman (In the Shadow of the Moon) as his substitute teacher Miss Devine.
Cobweb will be produced by Roy Lee through his Vertigo Entertainment banner and by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver, through Point Grey. Jon Berg is also producing, and Andrew Childs and Josh Fagen will serve as executive producers. Jim Miller and Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.
Production is slated to begin later this month in Sofia, Bulgaria.
