After pandemic-induced delays, USA and Syfy’s Chucky TV series is finally getting ready to begin production, and some interesting casting news is coming out of the project.
Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Idle Hands) has reportedly landed a “major role” in the series—playing not just one character, but twins. New cast members also include Zackary Arthur (Mom and Dad), Teo Briones (Ratched), Bjorgvin Arnarson (The Seventh Day), and Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak). As previously reported, Brad Dourif will return to voice Chucky, with Jennifer Tilly reprising the role of Tiffany.
Chucky comes to us from the franchise’s creator, Don Mancini, alongside Channel Zero mastermind Nick Antosca. The series will see a vintage Chucky doll turning up at a suburban yard sale, kickstarting a series of horrifying murders that plunge an idyllic American town into chaos and expose its hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
