Not too long ago we got our first update on Chucky season 3, with an announcement trailer confirming an October 4th premiere date. That announcement seemed to hint at several things, and now with the release of a short teaser trailer, we have confirmation that Chucky will be executing a reign of terror over Washington, D.C.
In the newest clip we witness the president of the United States having breakfast with his son. Upon being told that his son’s “friend” wants to go to work with him today, The President glares at a Good Guy doll across the table. The last we see of the gruesome puppet, he has absconded from the Oval Office with the presidential letter opener, and has a poor secretary in his sights.
So, Chucky’s going to be causing chaos in the world of politics! What’s more, Devon Sawa has returned once again, this time taking on the mantel of President of the United States… Could this possibly be the most bonkers season of Chucky yet?
Although exciting, the short teaser offers us no glimpses of the young leads fans have become so fond of. This has led many to question if they will be returning or if Season 3 will branch out and begin a new story arc.
Furthermore, we know franchise staple Jennifer Tilly will be returning, as Chucky himself promised “she always comes back,” but we don’t know to what degree she will be involved.
Still lots of mystery surrounding this upcoming season, so best tune in to SyFy or USA on October 4th to get all the answers. Of course, if you’re busy that night, you can always stream the episode on Peacock the next day.
