Premiering at Sundance is the violent action thriller Mandy, which comes from director Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and stars the mighty Nicolas Cage. Ahead of Sundance, EW shared the film’s poster, which is a real beaut. Take a look below; impossible to ignore is the chainsaw fight going on at the bottom.
The film, which only recently wrapped filming in Belgium, also stars Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, Oblivion), Linus Roache (Batman Begins), Richard Brake (31) and cult hero Bill Duke (Predator, Commando).
Here be the word:
“Set in 1983, Cage plays Red Miller, a broken and haunted man, who hunts the unhinged religious sect who slaughtered the love of his life.”
Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller and Elijah Wood produced Mandy for SpectreVision, alongside Nate Bolotin for XYZ and Adrian Politowski for Umedia. Keep an eye out in the coming week for the first reviews.
