CASTLE ROCK CANCELLED AFTER TWO SEASONS

Posted on: November 6th, 2020

Hulu has cancelled its psychological horror series Castle Rock after just two seasons.

The series, which premiered back in 2018, featured and was inspired by characters, settings, and themes from the works of Stephen King. Set in the fictional town of Castle Rock, Maine, the first season centred around “The Kid” (Bill Skarsgård), a mysterious inmate of Shawshank State Penitentiary. Season two followed the murderous nurse Annie Wilkes (Lizzy Caplan) after she got stuck in the town.

Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason created Castle Rock, which was executive produced by King and J.J. Abrams. Other cast members included Sissy Spacek, Tim Robbins, and André Holland.
