With the zombie franchise Resident Evil near-reaching its apparent end, we can now reveal the full cast and synopsis for The Final Chapter. The film will directly follow the events from Resident Evil: Retribution where humanity is really on its last legs, with the official plot as follows:
Synopsis:
In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.
Milla Jovovich will, of course, be reprising her role as Alice and she will be joined by Ali Larter who plays Claire, Iain Glen as Dr. Isaacs and Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker. Some new faces include Ruby Rose from Orange is the New Black, Eoin Macken from The Night Shift and William Levy.
Paul W.S. Anderson will be returning to direct the sequel and the release date is slated for 27th January 2017.
