Carla Gugino (The Haunting of Hill House, Gerald’s Game) has joined the cast of Lisa Frankenstein, a new horror comedy coming to us from director Zelda Williams and writer Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body).
Other new additions to the cast include Liza Soberano (Alone/Together), Joe Chrest (Stranger Things), and Henry Eikenberry (Euphoria). They join the previously announced Kathryn Newton (Freaky) and Cole Sprouse (Riverdale).
Set in 1989, Lisa Frankenstein “follows an unpopular high schooler who accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm and starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.”
In addition to writing the script, Cody is producing with Mason Novick. Filming on Lisa Frankenstein is taking place this summer.
