Details have been scarce regarding Quentin Tarantino’s next feature, but we now have some interesting updates to share with you. Firstly Brad Pitt has joined the cast that, so far, includes Leonardo DiCaprio. Pitt also features in Tarantino’s Inglorious Basterds, so it’s great to see him re-collaborating with the director. DiCaprio is also re-teaming with QT after starring in Django Unchained.
The film’s title has also been confirmed to be Once Upton a Time in Hollywood, with the story being set in 1969. The main events of the film will follow Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and Cliff Booth (Pitt), stars of a Western TV series, as they struggle to make it in Hollywood. Tying the film’s story to the Charles Manson murders comes with Rick living next door to actress Sharon Tate.
It is yet to be confirmed if Margot Robbie will be playing the role of Tate, but we expect (and hope) this to be confirmed soon. Either way.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released on 9th August 2019.
