Blumhouse is on fire; not only is the production company raking up the bucks at the box office, it’s winning Oscars and releasing secret sequels to its horror films. Last week, Blumhouse unveiled a secret sequel to 2014’s Unfriended, a tense and unique film about the horrors of the net.
Titled Unfriended: Dark Web, the film follows a 20-something who finds a cache of hidden files on his computer, thrusting him into the depths of the dark web. After screening at SXSW the film has received rave reviews, being praised for its cruelty and appropriate darkness.
Directed by Stephen Susco, Unfriended: Dark Web stars Betty Gabriel, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Stephanie Nogueras and Colin Woodell. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to see the film soon; keep an eye out!
