The time has come. The first trailer for Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury’s (Inside, Among the Living) Leatherface has finally been unleashed and it’s made us question what we were ever worried about. With a couple of the strongest horror directors working today at the helm, we should never have doubted what they’d produce.
Sure, it’s early days to get too excited, because we’ve only got 2 minutes of footage to share, but it’s some great footage. It’s bursting with the violent and visually striking flair from Bustillo and Maury’s film-making and offers plenty of interesting narrative moments that tease Leatherface’s back story. Oh, and it looks to be super violent and bloody. Win!
Synopsis:
Teenage Leatherface escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Along the way, they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge. One of these teens is destined for tragedy and horrors that will destroy his mind, moulding him into the monster we now call Leatherface.
Check out the trailer below which stars Lili Taylor (The Conjuring, The Addiction) as Verna ‘Mother’ Sawyer, Vanessa Grasse, Sam Strike and Blade’s Stephen Dorff as the vicious Texas Ranger Hal Hartman.
