Not the 1978 Bruce Lee classic but a super-gory, kill-or-be-killed splatterthon, horror series Game of Death went down a storm at last year’s SXSW, and can now be streamed through the Blackpills app, which produces and distributes short form content “for the swipe generation.” Watch the short but crazy bloody trailer below!
Originally billed as “Jumanji meets Natural Born Killers”, Game of Death sees seven young friends sucked into playing a retro board game that brings about all bloody Hell. Directed by Laurence “Baz” Morais and Sebastien Landry, it stars a host of up-and-comers including Sam Earle, Victoria Diamond, Emelia Hellman, Catherine Saindon and Nick Serino.
Synopsis:
GAME OF DEATH follows seven millennials hanging out at random country house on a lazy summer day. To spice things up they decide to play a dusty old game called the Game of Death where they learn kill or be killed is the golden rule. Which sucks for them because they decided to ignore that rule. Now the clock is ticking and with each passing moment each players’ head will explode unless they kill someone instead. No one escapes the GAME OF DEATH…
