Behind-the-Scenes Vid Shows Zero Gravity Stunt in The Mummy

Posted on: March 23rd, 2017

A behind-the-scenes video has been unleashed from the upcoming The Mummy with Tom Cruise and it shows how they tackled that zero gravity sequence in the aeroplane. In short; they did it, for real. A set was constructed inside a real plan and taken up 25,000 feet with the cast, and zero gravity was achieved. How awesome?

It’s safe to say we’ve steered entirely away from expecting this Mummy reboot from Alex Kurtzman to offer any real horror, despite the reporting that this is said to mark the beginning of a horror universe. Alas, we’re still excited to see Sofia Boutella as a refreshing female Mummy and Tom Cruise playing the action man once again. Plus, what’s not to get excited about seeing Russell Crowe as Dr Jekyll?! Exactly.

Synopsis:
An ancient princess is awakened from her crypt beneath the desert, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia, and terrors that defy human comprehension.

The Mummy additionally stars Annabelle Wallis, Courtney B. Vance and Jake Johnson. The film will be released on 9th June 2017 in the UK and USA.
