Mike Flanagan’s Gerald’s Game is one of the most impressive Stephen King adaptations and horror films of 2017, so if you haven’t checked it out yet you really should! It’s streaming on Netflix and you should read the book while you’re at it, because it’s excellent too.
If you have seen the film, then you might be interested to see these behind-the-scenes shots of the Moonlight Man; a terrifying figure that Jessie (Carla Gugino) sees while she’s strapped to her bed while her husband lies dead on the floor.
Synopsis:
While trying to spice up their marriage in their remote lake house, Jessie must fight to survive when her husband dies unexpectedly, leaving her handcuffed to their bed frame.
Robert Kurtzman, who worked on the makeup FX in the film shared the images and said:
“In light of all the talk about the de-gloving in Gerald’s Game, I thought I would share a couple of my favourites of me with the Moonlight Man. Pleasure to work on Carel Struycken with this makeup. What a trooper! Had a great time working with all. Mike Flanagan, the amazing performances by Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood, along with the rest of the cast and great crew!”
Gerald’s Game is available to stream on Netflix.
