“The Juice is loose…”
Things have been relatively quiet on the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” front since the drop of the second trailer.
For the most part fans aren’t too bothered by this, as not wanting to know too much about a movie just adds to the anticipation.
However, we do have a small update on this highly-anticipated sequel. According to the MPA, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has earned a PG-13 rating for:
“Violent content, macabre and bloody images, strong language, some suggestive material and brief drug use.”
No doubt this is music to the ears of Beetlejuice fans, as the 1988 original managed to get away with quite a lot despite its PG rating. Perhaps the newfangled PG-13 will ensure more carnage?
The sequel sees the return of writer/director Tim Burton, alongside original cast members Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara. Joining the returnees will be a slew of new characters, portrayed by the likes of Willem DaFoe, Justin Theroux, Jenna Ortega, and Monica Bellucci.
Set to follow Ortega and Ryder as mother and daughter, the sequel will see the family brought together by an unexpected tragedy, only to be harassed by the titular demon again.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will hit screens on September 6th, and you can revisit the second trailer below:
