“The Juice is loose…”

It seems like only yesterday that we were reporting on set photos from the long-awaited Beetlejuice sequel. Although we were excited by a poster back in January, we assumed it’d still be quite some time until we saw a trailer…

Thankfully, we were wrong.

The very first teaser trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice dropped this past week, and though short, it has delighted fans.

In the clip, we see the Deetz family together again. They have assembled to their Connecticut homestead for a funeral… Whose? We don’t know. However, it’s strongly suspected to be the family patriarch Charles Deetz.

We have our first look at Jenna Ortega as Astrid, the daughter to Winona Ryder’s Lydia, as she bikes around the small town. Then the teen comes upon a familiar looking small-town model in the attic of her grandmother’s home…

The clip ends with Ryder’s character storming into the attic as the model blazes to life. Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice leers at the camera before making one final quip.

With fans describing the teaser as “perfect,” the clip didn’t give away much, but just enough to excite audiences and pique their curiosity.

First look images also reveal a closer look at Keaton’s character, as well as the Deetz clan. Here we see Catherine O’Hara as Delia, and Justin Theroux as an unnamed character, alongside Ryder and Ortega.

Already blowing up the Warner Bros YouTube page, the reaction to the short clip shows just how huge the appetite for a Beetlejuice sequel has been over the past 35 years. Hopefully that appetite bodes well for the box-office upon Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’s September 6th release.
