Await Further Instructions no longer has to await a release date, because it’s got one set for 11th December. It’s the perfect date for the film, which is set during the festive period. However, it’s not the most cheery film to be spending your Christmas day with. You’ve been warned.
Await Further Instructions is an intense and politically-driven horror story that follows a family who become trapped in their home. It’s unclear what’s happening, but when their TV starts delivering them messages, they know that whatever is going is serious.
The film is cynical and timely, exploring themes of religion and identity in its story that is driven by strong performances from the cast that includes Neerja Naik, David Bradley, Sam Gittins, Holly Weston, Kris Saddler and Grant Masters.
Synopsis:
“The story revolves around the Milgram family, who have gathered to celebrate Christmas, only to find a mysterious black substance has surrounded their house. Something monumental is clearly happening right outside their door, but what exactly – an industrial accident, a terrorist attack, nuclear war? Descending into terrified arguments, they turn on the television, desperate for any information. On screen, a message glows ominously: ‘Stay Indoors and Await Further Instructions” …
