It’s been 10 years since cult horror flick Attack the Block brought us neon-fanged horrors in a London tower block. Despite going on to star in higher-profile films in the intervening years, star John Boyega has said he’d love to do a sequel—and in a recent discussion with Entertainment Weekly, the film’s writer and director Joe Cornish hinted that we might finally get one.
“We’re working on it at the moment,” Cornish said. “John Boyega was round at my place a few weeks ago and we sat in the garden—socially distanced—talking about story ideas until it was so dark we couldn’t see each other. So, yeah, we’re working on that.”
In the 2011 film, a teen gang in South London must defend their block from an alien invasion. The cast also included Jodie Whittaker, Franz Drameh, Leeon Jones, and Nick Frost.
