Artist Swaps Myers with Myers for Scenes from HALLOWEEN

Posted on: August 9th, 2018

Michael Myers aka “The Shape” is the iconic, archetypal slasher from the Halloween franchise. Mike Myers is a comedian and voice actor who launched to prominence on Saturday Night Live in the 1990s. What do you get when you swap one Myers for another? Hilarity!

An artist who goes by the moniker “Jim’ll Paint It” (@Jimllpaintit) has created a series of terrifying and side-splitting mash-ups featuring Mike Myers the comedian in classic scenes from Halloween. Instead of Michael Myers emotionless white face peering directly into our souls, we’ve got Dr. Evil, Shrek, Austin Powers, and Wayne from Wayne’s World tickling our ribs. Have a look-see and just try not to laugh!

We’re approaching the 40th Anniversary of John Carpenter’s Halloween, the film widely credited with launching the slasher subgenre and igniting its 1980s heyday. The landmark coincides with the release of Blumhouse/Universal’s Halloween, a film being billed as a battle royale 4 decades in the making. Give the trailer and synopsis a spin below.

Synopsis:
It’s been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. She now faces a terrifying showdown when Michael returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, Laurie is ready for him.

Halloween 2018 is directed by David Gordon-Green from a script her penned with Danny McBride; the film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Nick Castle. Looks for it to slash into US Theatres beginning October 19th.
