We truly don’t deserve the folks at Arrow Video…
Just weeks ago, we reported their announcement of a stunning 4K UHD Psycho collection, which was greeted with much fanfare and has sold wildly. We thought that this was the ultimate gift to us this year and that Arrow couldn’t possibly top themselves.
Thankfully, we were wrong!
Are you ready to play with your friend to the end? Arrow certainly are, as they’re bringing the entire Child’s Play/Chucky series to 4K UHD for the first time in the UK. Not only will this be the series’ 4K debut, but it also marks the first time the franchise has been released together in the United Kingdom.
Releasing in both 4K UHD and standard blu-ray, the set will include all seven films in the long-running series. The box set has been released in conjunction with US label Shout! Factory, allowing Arrow to license their sizeable archive of supplemental material for each film. This includes audio commentaries and retrospective documentaries, as well as on-camera interviews with cast and crew members.
The eighth disc in the set will include the award-winning documentary Living with Chucky by Kyra Gardner. The feature-length documentary dives into Gardner’s experiences having Chucky in her life from eight years old. The film also includes input from franchise alumni, including her father, effects artist and puppeteer Tony Gardner.
A truly stunning collection, Arrow continue to outdo themselves with each new genre announcement, and we hope it continues! This set will release on December 11th 2023, and would no doubt make the perfect Christmas gift for any horror fan. It is available for pre-order now, and will likely sell fast!
