Director Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) is bringing us a new holiday horror movie this year in the form of Violent Night, which will see Stranger Things’ David Harbour playing an ass-kicking Santa. And we’ve got more exciting casting news this week as Deadline reports that André Eriksen (Mayhem, Vikings) is on board!
He joins the previously announced John Leguizamo (Land of the Dead), Beverly D’Angelo (The Sentinel), Alex Hassell (The Boys), Alexis Louder (Watchmen), Edi Patterson (Knives Out), and Cam Gigandet (Twilight). Pat Casey and Josh Miller wrote the film, which is slated to release on December 2nd.
In Violent Night: “A team of elite mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage. But the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (Harbour) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.”
