After the unexpected announcement that reality star Kim Kardashian would star alongside Emma Roberts in the upcoming season of American Horror Story, it seems the cast continues to grow with high-profile names. Last week model and actress Cara Delevingne was spotted on set in an outlandish ensemble as she filmed scenes with co-star Emma Roberts.
Delevingne was spotted wearing a black wig with blunt bangs and an all-black mesh dress as she smoked on a cigarette. Roberts was swathed in a large overcoat that just about concealed the fake baby bump the actress wore as she filmed scenes outside a New York apartment building. Notably absent from the set was Kim Kardashian who has yet to film any scenes.
Working under the title Delicate, American Horror Story 12 will be based on the Danielle Valentine novel Delicate Condition. Described as a feminist update of Rosemary’s Baby, the plot concerns a pregnant woman who becomes convinced someone is trying to sabotage her pregnancy.
Roberts will be playing the paranoid mother-to-be, however, details on the characters played by Delevingne and Kardashian have yet to emerge. Delevingne has become a rather prolific actress since her 2015 film debut Paper Towns. American Horror Story is not her first dalliance with genre work either, as she can currently be seen in Amazon’s horror-fantasy hybrid Carnival Row opposite Orlando Bloom.
Whilst there is no definite release date for American Horror Story 12, it is likely it will premiere in the summer. We will report any solid details as they come in.
