This is sort of surprising news, but we should definitely have seen this one coming. Director Yeon Sang-ho has confirmed that Train to Busan is getting a sequel. Before you sigh in despair, the planned story actually sounds intriguing. The first film, undeniably, ended with the potential to continue the story.
The film will not feature the same characters as the first film, but it will follow what happens now that the zombie virus has spread throughout Korea. Will the sequel be able to match the intensity and pace as Train to Busan? We’ll have to wait and see.
Keep your eyes peeled for more about the Train to Busan sequel – which is currently under the working title of Bando, meaning “peninsula”.
